Created in 2025, Lab’oratoire is an association based in Vienna (Austria) dedicated to exploring public speaking and stage and audiovisual creation through an experimental, collaborative and educational approach. It provides a laboratory-style space where its members experiment with theatre, speech, performance, text and their body as tools for expression, reflection and creation.
From the Lab' to the stage
Each season at the Lab' focuses on one topic over two semesters:

The first semester is dedicated to training technique, comprising three weekly theatre workshops in which actors and actresses develop their craft through a technical curriculum that covers all aspects of the acting profession.

The second semester is about creating and staging a play that brings together all these skills and transforms them into an artistic creation: the ideas, scenes and characters developed during the workshops take shape as a concrete project. The Lab’ then prepares the production of a play, to be performed in a Viennese theatre.
