Our vision.
A multicultural, French-speaking, and international association.
At Le Lab’, we believe that theater is a space where cultures, languages, and ideas meet, a living art form that unites people through creativity and emotion. Our association gathers an international community connected by two things in common: a shared love for the stage and the use of French and English as our creative languages.
We see theater not just as performance, but as collaboration...

a place to experiment, take risks, and grow together.

Through our bilingual and multicultural approach, we promote French-speaking countries while celebrating diversity in all its forms. All our productions are performed in French with English surtitles, opening the experience to both francophone and international audiences.
Our goals.
French-speaking world
Promote French-language theater as a space for artistic exchange and inclusion.
Creativity
Encourage artistic autonomy, allowing members to explore every facet of production.
Community
Foster an international community of creators connected through bilingual collaboration.
Experiment
Support emerging voices by providing a platform for experimentation, training, and performance.

Our artistic vision.
Bringing to life meaningful stories that reflect the complexity, beauty, and humanity of our diverse community. The Lab’ has already explored sensitive topics, such as human trafficking and sex work.
This season, Le Lab’ revisits Shakespeare’s comedies with a contemporary perspective to show that the classics remain alive, vibrant, and accessible—just like cinema.
Our future projects will continue to examine the world: social precariousness, family relationships, catfishing, immigration. For us, living art must reflect the reality in which we live. Beyond the stage, we also produce short films and trailers to extend our storytelling.
We strive for high artistic standards not out of competition, but out of a commitment to authenticity and accuracy. Every creation must be polished, inspired, and long-lasting —leaving a mark, forging connections, and continuing to grow over time.
Bring theater back to the people.
Bringing audiences back to the theater is at the heart of our vision: a place open to people of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. The theater is not an exclusive domain; it belongs to those who are ready to feel, to think, and to let themselves be moved. The challenge is to restore the cathartic power of live performance and to offer a rich, profound, and human experience that resonates with everyone’s life. This ambition is reflected in an open repertoire: classic masterpieces, contemporary works, and original productions created within the Lab’.

At Le Lab’, the audience and community reflect the diversity of the troupe. The productions are aimed at curious, open-minded people seeking theater that is vibrant, contemporary, and sincere.
This audience includes:
-
international theatergoers—whether based in Vienna or just visiting— who enjoy the French and the English languages;
-
young adults, professionals, and men and women who are not regular theatergoers but are drawn to stories rooted in modern life;
-
artists, creators, and dreamers seeking a space that promotes collaboration, experimentation, and learning;
-
culturally engaged individuals committed to diversity, authenticity, and social consciousness in the arts.
The goal is to rebuild the connection between people and the stage, to remind us that theater is neither a luxury nor an exclusive circle, but a deeply human and shared experience. Whether it’s a first encounter or a long-standing passion, every audience member is invited to feel, reflect, and take part in a collective, creative, and vibrant adventure.
